They can make you look and feel older. So, what do you do if you have several missing teeth and don't want to have dentures? What if you are young and don't want to look like you are 20 years older than you are? The answer, of course, is dental implants.
How Can Dental Implants Make Me Look Younger?
Dental implants are a substitute for natural teeth. When you are finished getting your implants you will not be able to tell the difference between your implants and your natural teeth.
The great thing about dental implants is that they last and, unlike dentures, you can do the same things with the implant that you can do with your real teeth.
When you get an implant, it can be a multiple stage process depending on the situation. We will evaluate the site for the implant to determine if there is enough bone in the jaw at that area to support the titanium post that is positioned in the jawbone to support the placement tooth.
The other benefit to dental implants is that they stand alone. Partial dentures must be anchored to the adjacent teeth to hold them in place.
Everyone isn't a candidate for dental implants, however. You have to have adequate bone to support the implant and you also have to have healthy gums. If you don't have sufficient bone to support the implant you may require a bone graft, but you'll love the results when your new teeth are in place.
